GUEST stands for Guides Exploring Science and Technology.This annual event for Guide patrols rotates through three areas of the province - Vancouver Island, Northern BC and the BC Interior. The goal of the event is to introduce Guides to the wonderful wide world of science, while experiencing a taste of university life.

GUEST in the North

Come join us as we celebrate Science & Technology at Thompson Rivers University in beautiful Kamloops, BC! This fun-filled, interactive event rotates around the province every year with the goal of introducing Guides to the wonderful wide world of science! Experience a taste of university life – attend sessions in university classrooms and sleep in your very own residence dormitory!

Where: Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops, BC
Who: Open to Guide patrols from the Thompson Nicola, Kootenay and Monashee Areas
When: Check-in: 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM, Saturday, June 2, 2018
Depart: 12:00 PM, Sunday, June 3, 2018

GUEST in the Lower Mainland

Due to popular demand, GUEST is coming to the Lower Mainland for the first time in 2018!

Come join us as we celebrate Science & Technology at the University of Northern British Columbia in beautiful Prince George, BC! This fun-filled, interactive event rotates around the province every year with the goal of introducing Guides to the wonderful wide world of science! Experience a taste of university life – attend sessions in university classrooms and sleep in your very own residence dormitory!

Where: University of the Fraser Valley, Abbotsford, BC
Who: Open to Guide patrols from West Coast, Lions, Lougheed and Fraser Skies Areas
When: Check-in: 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM, Saturday, June 1, 2019
Depart: 12:00 PM, Sunday, June 2, 2019


Pathfinder Summit



Pathfinder Summit is a biennial event (every second year, alternating with Ranger Revolution) for girls in their 2nd or 3rd year of Pathfinders. It is an opportunity for registered Pathfinders and Pathfinder Guiders from around BC to come together as patrols and explore the Pathfinder Program, with a focus on leadership. Participants explore subjects they might not encounter at unit meetings and are encouraged to take information back with them to share with their units. Girls and Guiders stay at the HI-Vancouver Downtown hostel and participate in Pathfinder Summit activities at Guide House in North Vancouver.

The objective of this event is to help girls from across BC by building the skills necessary to take on leadership oles in their units, in their communities and in Guiding.

This event is held in the fall, every second year.

Where: Vancouver, BC
Who: Open to 2nd & 3rd Year Pathfinder patrols from BC
When: October 19-21, 2018
Cost: $400 per patrol (this works out to $100 per girl)


 Ranger Revolution




Ranger Revolution is a biennial event (every second year, alternating with Pathfinder Summit) for girls registered and active in Ranger units as well as for girls registered as Rangers and participating as Junior leaders. This event is different from all other Program Committee events, as girls can register either as a patrol or as individuals. This event has sessions and activities tailored specifically to Ranger-aged girls, with a variety of sessions, including Junior Leader specific topics. Participants will explore subjects they might not encounter at unit meetings and will be encouraged to take information back with them to share with their units. Girls and Guiders will have the opportunity to stay at the HI-Vancouver Jericho Beach hostel for the weekend and participate in the Ranger Revolution activities at Guide House in Vancouver.

The objective of this event is to help girls from across BC by building the skills necessary to take on leadership roles in their units, in their communities and in Guiding.

This event is held in the fall every second year.
