Refund Guidelines

  • A full refund will be issued if Girl Guides of Canada is unable to provide placement in a unit or a unit is closed due to low enrollment or for unforeseen circumstances.
  • A full refund less $20 administration fee will be issued if the parent/guardian notifies the local Guiding office, by email, of the cancellation/withdrawal prior to the start of the fifth scheduled unit meeting. 
  • In cases where a girl joins after the unit meetings have started, refund will only be considered prior to the fifth scheduled unit meeting from her date of joining. Refund is not based on attendance at the Unit meetings. 
  • Parents/guardians are required to send requests to Lynn Murray at murrayl@bc-girlguides.org with "Girl's Last Name - Refund Request" in the subject line. The following information is required to be included in the email:
  1. Girl first and last name, and address
  2. iMIS number (registration number)
  3. Brief reason for request.
  4. Stipulate if it was a paper registration, or if the original credit card used is inactive.
  • Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing.
  • After a refund is issued to the credit card, or a cheque issued, an automatic receipt will be sent by National to parent/guardian email address on file.
